Despite the intermittent drizzle, the 2023 DVM Spring Picnic was a success. Twenty-three people braved the weather. Friends, new and old, mingled, shared food, and enjoyed games.
This year’s site was Estell Manor Park in Atlantic County, NJ. The park has a nature center and opportunities to explore its historical Glass Works and Munition Loading ruins. With the rain, we decided to put those off until next year.
There was plenty of food provided by DMV and side dishes and desserts provided by members. I’m sorry I didn’t get the names of everyone who brought dishes, but thank you to all.
The games table was jumping with activity. 7 Wonders was won by our newest youth member, Estellise. Then, the perennial favorite, Power Grid was tied three-ways until Bob won the tie-breaker.
Looking forward to next year. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate.
