Baldwin’s Book Barn & Author Talk By Bruce Mowday (review)
By Hadley Granahan
Twenty-five Delaware Valley Mensans gathered at Baldwin’s Book Barn in West Chester, Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 15th. We enjoyed a wine and cheese reception and a talk by author Bruce Mowday.
Mowday is a well-known author of 23 books, former newspaper reporter, and writes about local history in Chester County. He spoke about his most recent book, Lafayette At Brandywine. Many members were also able to purchase signed books written by Mowday.
Mowday is a true expert on Lafayette, and regaled us of stories of Lafayette’s heroism. Many hadn’t realized how Lafayette had played a major role in our freedom and the building of the United States of America.
This meeting was originally planned for February of 2020, and we are glad that we could finally make it happen! I would highly suggest that you read Mowday’s book, Lafayette At Brandywine, and make a visit to Baldwin’s Book Barn. Great thanks to Joy and Colin Hanna for organizing this.
