The annual FREE picnic at Ridley Creek State Park was noticeably different this year! It was the weather!!! Low 80 degrees and virtually no humidity weather – a first in many years!!! We could not have asked for a better day! We lost several regulars who were down due to Covid and recruited others to man the grills for burgers, hot dogs and NJ corn. I had forgotten how good and juicy corn is when cooked on the grill! There were of course, the usual gamers and we roped in some new gamers, in particular, a Gifted Youth, Johnny, and our own ExComm member, Carole Rose. Lots of desserts were brought by the attendees in addition to the food and drinks provided by the group. And thanks to Joe Neff, we now possess 3 banners which say DELAWARE VALLEY MENSA! We will be able to take these to other events where we will be more readily identifiable and hopefully spark attention for our group.

Ellen Bauer, the national Proctor of the Year, was presented with an award in her honor! She has tested many of our current members and has worked tirelessly for Delaware Valley Mensa.

We had fewer attendees than in previous years, probably due to competing events, but it was lovely for the 30 who did attend. The food was great and the people even better!!! Hope to see you next year!!!!
