DVM had a private tour of Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall by the director of the Historic Organ Restoration Committee.
The building was constructed between 1926 and 1929. Still the largest in the world, the organ was built into the chambers created for it between 1929 and 1932. A visiting organist demonstrated many of the organ’s instrument voices throughout short melodies, followed by the National Anthem. This tour is so interesting historically, architecturally, and musically, that we recommend it to all. The tour is publicly available every Wednesday, 10:00 to noon, April through November.
