Summer. Baseball. Heat and humidity. Kids at home. Casual Friday morphs into put-in-half-a-day Friday. But perhaps the best summer tradition of them all is the Delaware Valley Mensa annual BBQ. The BBQ is always one of the best-attended events on our calendar, and is a terrific chance to catch up with (or meet) fellow Mensans.
This year, we will again convene at Pavilion 14 of Ridley Creek State Park, just off the I-476 in Delaware County PA. The tables under the pavilion are stacked with hot dogs, burgers, and sides provided by DVM. Some members also bring a side or dessert to share. There is table space for games brought by members who know that like-minded Mensans would love to plot strategy on a Saturday afternoon. Sometimes the food and games compete for space on the picnic tables, but a compromise is reached fairly quickly!
